This “video” was made up of thousands of drawings loosely based on the same outline that were submitted by Johnny Cash fans. Fans were allowed to depict the Man in Black however they wanted to based on the outlines given. The visitor to the site can then choose between top rated, editor’s choice, and other option and they string the user submitted art together into the video you see here. Along the James is regularly updated by me, Charles M. Kelley. I was born a few miles from where the James River starts in western Virginia and now live a stone's throw away from where it passes through Virginia's capital, Richmond, hence the site's title, "Along the James".
